The Corvette made its way into the American market purely as a marketing stunt by Chevrolet back in 1953 When Chevy had begun to see declining sales in the early 1950s they needed to come up with a whole new idea. It was at the worlds fair in 1953 that Chevy had introduced a very limited production Corvette (Only 1000 made) for the purpose to simply bring more people into their showrooms. The Corvette had such a large following that Chevy had continued to produce into 1954. When people became bored of the simple design of the blue flame 6 Chevy reintroduced the Corvette with a smallblock V8 and the rest became history. With the introduction of the C2 Corvette the body drastically changed and the engine options changed with it this vehicle opting for the 396 cubic inch big block and bored out to a 402 cubic inch powerhouse and mated to a classic 4-speed manual transmission this Corvette here is a torque monster as you slam through the gears with the greatest of ease. The interior is tastefully done in a beautiful black leather throughout accented by chrome dash and console touches that really show off the sense of style that can only be compared to Johnny Cash being dressed all in black this car has a bad-boy appeal. The exterior is painted in a gloss black and also accented in chrome trim the whole car has a beautiful look that really seems to appeal to the masses.
