1958 Signet Red Corvette Excellent Condition

This car has been in the family for generations and has been kept in excellent condition. It was purchased in 1967 by the father and was given to one of the sons before his death. Celebrities have requested and borrowed this classic car for use in parades. The roadster is a family treasure that has been treated with care, ept in excellent condition and now unfortunately needs to be sold.

The car's original removable hard top and its convertible top are in great shape. The dashboard upholstery and the carpet has been restored to its true show room specifications. The radio that was in the car when it was purchased in 1958 is still in it. Of course the radio has the unique "wonder bar" which was a General Motors option for their classy automobiles in the late 50's. The seats were protected over the years with a custom upholstery seat covering installed by the original owner. That fabric has now been removed so that the seats are not only original, ut in excellent condition including the Corvette seat belts that came with the car. The body was painted with love and care by the father with the original signet red color. He owned a refurbished classic cars business, o you know he took extra care of this one. The chrome is authentic and complete just like it was in '58. It has the original hubcaps with genuine white insets on the fenders and doors.

This sports car has a Carter AFB 4-barrel and a refurbished 283 V-8 engine under its unique '58 hood. The car has the dual ignition package as it did when it was new and the original exhaust manifolds with "cut-offs" which were designed to provide an option for more horsepower. This Corvette is equipped with straight glass packs that provides the classic Chevrolet V-8 sound. It has the original Corvette heads, ith recently revamped overhead valves and seals. The heads have the unique aluminum alloyed valve covers with the Corvette name.

The rear wheel drive train is all matching numbers with recent replacement of worn bearings, eals and mechanical clutch. That includes the pilot bearing in the flywheel, he bearings in the 4-speed manual Borg-Warner transmission, nd the seals in the differential and rear axle. Everything according to the original manufacture's specifications.

The shoes that are in the original brake drums are new. The single line hydraulic brake system, ncluding master and slave cylinders are also new. Again, verything according to original specifications.

This car will be sold directly from the owner who has a clear title. There will be no sales commission or consignment fees attached to it.
