Car description

1971 Chevelle SS454 Convertible   4-speed Rare Big Block SS Convertible

    VIN 136671K148413

This is a beautiful and rare car.  A 1971 Chevelle Convertible SS454 4-speed.   This is a chance for the guy on a budget to buy a real gem of a muscle car.  I believe this to be a true SS car.  It has the correct original dash round gauges dash and working cowl induction.  I do not have any documentation on the car.  This Chevelle is not a show car but is a car that seems to have been restored some time ago and still has the looks.  The car has the matching numbers exterior paint color but does not have the original engine.   The power convertible top and rear glass are like brand new condition, ut it needs help going up.    Probably a leak in the convertible top lines.  The rear seat has a tear at the top of the seat. The front seats are in good condition.  The door panels are nice and the carpet is in good condition.  The car has new original style GM rubber floor mats.

This Chevelle has a 454 that runs good and the 4speed trans shifts tight.  It is not the original engine (if it was the reserve would be much higher).  The cowl induction flapper closes when the car fires up. The car probably nees some suspension work, ut it's the perfect car to get in and drive and work on it as you go.  That's the real fun part of this hobby.   The car has a real good paint job,  shines up very nice but has a couple of areas of very minor pitting, robably due to primer, ot bad and not noticed unless right up on the car......but as I said, ot a show car but looks amazing overall. It is the good driver.  This Chevelle sounds awesome with a newer exhaust system with the correct original stainless steel tail pipe extensions - sounds great.

Windows roll up nice, lass is decent.   It has the factory radio in the dash (not working).  The exterior white stripes were painted under the clear coat.  The tach does not work.  The car gets lots of complements on the paint and color, reen with white. The wheels are the correct 15x7 SS wheels with good rubber on them.  The rear end is a 12 bolt.  The car has QA1 coil over shocks in the rear too.  In the trunk is a spare and original jacking equipment.

I try to be as detailed as I can with my descriptions, nd in the end i want this to be a pleasant experience for both of us.  All personal, nd third party inspections are welcome and encouraged at any time with prior appointments.   If you need your wife's or girlfriend's or mother's permission to buy this car, et it before you bid.  If you are waiting on an inheritance or trying to sell another car to come up with the funds, o so before you bid.  I encourage you to inspect the car, ut please do so  before you bid. Feel free to call me or email me any time with questions about the car.  If you leave me a telephone number, will call you right back. Thanks.

This car is better than money in any bank account and will appreciate in value as the years go on.  This is one of only 4,241 Chevelle Convertilbes made in 1971 and only a fraction were LS5 cars.  How many are left?  It would be very hard to find another car like this for the price I am letting it go for.

This car will be the true 'Muscle Car' to own in the next 5 years...

I have been dealing with Chevelles for quite a while and you don't see too many like this.  Its not a perfect show car, ut in my opinion is well worth the reserve price I am asking.  Please read my feedback, t speaks for itself.  I have it price right ....this is a car that someone can take to the next restoration level, r drive and show now.

Feel free to email me with any questions. There is no doubt that this car will appreciate in value over the next several years and is better than money sitting in your bank account, ince you can enjoy the car while it appreciates (should appreciate faster than the interest from the loan for that matter).  This is a great example of an Chevelle SS Convertible. It is seldom one finds a car like this and it is getting harder to find .....so bid early, on't miss out!

A lot of my auctions end early, o if you have a price in mind, lease call me!
