Car description

This is how a 1981 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 was always supposed to be. The bold looks are now backed up by a 383 monster motor, nd plenty of other performance goodies in this thoroughly upgraded coupe. There's so much going on for this car, ou won't believe the affordable price. You know you love the look of these final-year 2nd generation Camaros. The angular body had matured into a seamless and chrome-free design that makes it look even a bit modern today. It only gets better with this car's subtle factory charcoal gray paint, hich is the perfect backdrop for the bold stripes that look like a desert sunset. It still carries all the correct Z/28 features, ike the chin spoiler that wraps around to the wheel openings, proper hood scoop, ender vent, nd the ducktail spoiler out back. Of course, he factory blacked-out grille and black rally wheels let everyone know this Z/28 really means business. The silver/gray interior is the perfect combination to complement the exterior. It's well preserved on the door panels and carpeting. There are also some nice upgrades like the new bucket seat covers, nd a modern AM/FM/CD stereo that everyone can enjoy. But this is certainly a driver's car. The sporty steering wheel, nd dashboard give this Z a performance feel, hich is only heightened by the new Sunpro oil pressure gauge and large tachometer. In fact, eople who peek inside this Camaro will notice these items and the chrome B&M shifter on the center console, nd they'll instantly know this coupe has some serious power.Pop the hood and see a BIG surprise. The '81 Z/28 came with a regulation-choked 350 cubic-inch motor. The powerplant you are looking at on this one is a 383 performance BluePrint motor that was installed only 6,000 miles ago. It has a Holley four-barrel 750 CFM carburetor, nd Edelbrock, ntake to help this screamer produce 425 hp. It also makes a sweet rumble thanks to headers and a Flowmaster dual exhaust. But the upgrades don't end there. All this power is handled by a stout TH350 three-speed transmission that offers great performance even with left in drive thanks upgrades such as a 2,500 RPM stall and SFI flywheel. All this power gets to the ground via 10-bolt Positraction rear end running a 3.90 ratio. Control is a big part of this custom build, oo, ith Hotchkis tuned shocks, otchkis frame connectors, nd Lakewood traction bars. Plus, topping is well in hand with power disc brakes up front and grippy BF Goodrich T/A radials at all four corners. Finally, ower steering helps you carve through the curves. This Z/28 is the perfect sleeper. Everyone loves how these Camaros look, ut no one expects them to run this aggressively. It's a custom build of a well-preserved car, nd we have the factory buildsheet and restoration receipts to prove it. This is more fun than anyone would expect for under $15K. Call Today!!
