Car description

I am selling this truck for a friend who was devastated by a wildfire in the foothills of California.Mike "The Mechanic" of Mike's Service. Lost his home and business to the Butte wildfire. (see last photo)It's amazing that this truck survived untouched by the fire!As cool as this truck is, ike has no choice but to sell it.I cleaned it up some and gave it an inspection. I did not start it or hear it run. However, he previous owner drove it to Mike's shop. It's been sitting for about two years and needs some tlc to get it running again. It's green. It was blue. I'm not sure why it was painted. There are no signs of damage or bodywork, ust a repaint in a different color. The body is extremely straight. The bumpers have no dents. The bed, heelwell tubs and tailgate are in excellent shape, hich shows that this was not a work truck. The cab and doors are also very straight. However, t is not dent free. The passenger side fender has a small dent with a sharp curl of metal sticking out of it. The passenger side rocker panel has a barelynoticeable dent. The grill is slightly tweeked and so is the panel above it.The doors have small spots of rust bubbling under the paint in the corners. The passenger side lower cab corner has a small rust hole about a 1/4" in diameter. The worst rust is on top of the windshield inside the cab (under the sun visors), owever it would be an easy repair.I don't think this truck was ever garaged, t looks like it spent it's life outdoors. The wood floor is rotten in the bed. The topper must have been added much later. The floorboards in the cab are in excellent shape. The drivers side door needs the locking latch repaired.(it doesn't lock or stay closed)The tires are very old and rotten, o it is not safe to drive as it sits. Also, he brakes are an unknown.I do not know if the V8 engine is original. It has the ram-horn style exhaust manifolds and a two barrel carb. The engine is very clean inside the valve cover oil fill cap.(doesn't smell bad either) Nice green color to the antifreeze. The carb even looks good. Somebody cut a big slot in the air filter housing. (?)The transmission is a 4 speed manual. The gear ratio in the 12 bolt differential is unknown. The turn signal stalk and horn button have been removed. (?)The previous owner had lost the keys and had hotwired it. However, found the keys when I cleaned the truck. (They were under the floor mat. lol.)I'm sure I didn't mention everything, o I recommend to everyone who is interested, o personally inspect the truck for themselves before bidding. This truck is located at what remains of the Mike's Service located at the burned out remains of the Golden Spur on Mountain Ranch road.Anyway, ook at the photos. I took many more and will show them upon request.Serious buyers only! No tire kickers please!!! I have to travel over ten miles to show the truck. Also, his truck is in the middle of wildfire damage. Please use caution when driving your vehicle up here. The roads are paved and clear to the Golden Spur. This truck is being sold strictly AS/IS and where it is. Now warranty is being given or implied.By bidding on this item, ou have agreed to my terms and conditions of this sale.Customer satisfaction is very important to me and I want you to be a happy customer. However, do not accept returns. (I am not a store.) I'm just a friend of Mike who is helping him through a tough time and needs help to sell some of his items.
