Car description

RAREDiamondin the rough --originalcondition --1976 factory Chalet --36,278 miles!1976 Chevy Chevrolet K-5 Cheyenne Chalet Blazer CamperA diamond in the rough ...1976 Chevy Chevrolet K-5 Cheyenne Chalet Blazer Camper 4x4 automatic cruise control(we have not tried the cruise)with only 36,278 Miles. The 350motor /enginepurrs. The turbo hydramatictransmission is very tight goes in & out of drive and reverse quickly. We have notdriven it down the road just in ourdriveway. The 4x4 works good, ock in hubs. I personally think it looks a lot worse than it actually is.The unit is all original. The Serial # on the silver plate by the back door of the camper is 6BC 00472. It also has, believe the date of Manufacture on the plate 7 76.This retro little camper comeswithrefrigerator, gas stove, as furnace, ink, which we have not tried to see if they work. The man we purchased the camper from did say that he would go in it in the winter, urn the furnace on and hang outin there. He also tried to light the stove, ut was out of gas.Atable that folds into a bed. The topof the roof pops up for extra head room. Two more beds are bunks above the table bed.So what it needs, ocker panels,The panel behind the right door needsrepair. Brakes, otors,& lines (there are no brakes on the truck at this time). The frame is solid, as some surface rust. Headrests are homemade, hey will come right off. Tires (the two tires on the left side, drivers side, o flat.Weblew them up for pictures. It may also need new wheels, he ones on the camper right now are quite rusty. It will need complete detailing inside and outside. Needs the other fenderinstalled which comeswith the camper. Thisblazer camper is complete with all the original equipment and appears to be invery nicecondition. Itwill beamazing what agood cleaning will do. The carpet is dirty and needsa cleaning. Head lights have power, he left headlightbulbhigh beam worked. The right headlight bulb low beam was on dim. Brake lights, allblinkers work, ail lights all work on camper and truck. Windshield wipers work, nterior cab light works. Cigarette lighter works, ooks brand new never used, would guess it was non smoking vehicle. The temp. gauge, il gauge, attery gauge all work. The fuel gauge floats. When the pop up top is up the rightcorner (just the corner)appears to be pulling away from the hard top. Probably a goodadhesive wouldwork to put it back up.To our knowledge the odometer is correct & working (we have not driven it to seethe mileage change because of the bad brakes). The last state inspection sticker was in 2002-2003.The story of the camper is that a preacher here in Maine owned it for several years, e then sold it to another man who had it for several more years. Then to the guy we bought it from. He bought it to fix up, ut never did. I am not sure if this camper went out of the state of MaineWe have all the original paper work & original Title.I know there are things I am probably missing, ut the unit is in good repairable condition.

The chalet is A full-size Chevy Blazer that came from the Factory with a pop-up camper on it. Less than 1800 units were made between spring 1976 and very early 1977, nd were sold through Chevy/GMC dealerships. The Blazer came off the same production line as a regular truck, nd had a pop-up camper shell installed by Chinook Mobilodge in Washington. The camper is similar to the Chinook campers installed on Toyota pickups of the same era.

This particular Blazer seats two in the cab, nd up to four, ideways, n the camper. (There are only seatbelts for two in the camper, and two up front The camper seats fold down to sleep two, nd some units came with fold-out upper bunks to sleep two more. These upper bunks are pretty narrow, o they're best for kids.

Inside you'll find a propane heater and stove; water tank and sink, nd a dometic frig model rm211. operation bylp gas & electric dual voltage 12/110v. Shelves, losets and a removable tabletop round out the furnishings. (They did not, owever come with a shower or toilet. The Chalet is surprisingly roomy inside; due to the headroom provided by the camper unit's extra height, ven tall and/or wide people find the interior quite comfortable
