Car description

For sale a very nice useable Cadillac Eldorado Convertible. 1976 last year. Dual power seats, no tears, original leather. Dash with one tiny (see picture) seam to left of instrument panel – mostly unnoticeable. Door panels in fabulous shape. Chrome is very clean.

Has hard boot in matching paint in trunk bag.

AC works. New Hankook tires 235/75 R15 in the last few months, less than 500 miles. Fuel injected engine rebuilt in last 2500 miles.

What does this car need – eventually a new top – this one is serviceable, but aging, and a fix to the power antenna. That’s it. Drives very nicely now.

Look at the pics – judge for yourself. Light yellow / ivory exterior, tan / gold interior - very nice.

Offered with no reserve at $125 starting price to cover cost of listing.

This is a used vehicle, and is sold as is, where is. I am a private individual selling from my collection which needs whittling down.

I had almost 20 cars, now selling the last few – saved the best for last.

Someone asked if I would drive this car 1000 miles and about rust.

Rust - It has nothing that's coming through the body in the usually suspect visible places.
Would I drive a 40+ year old car 1000 miles - ahhhhhh - not me - I like flying in first class - car would go by truck.
It drives fine. This specific car has new Hankook tires and drives well.
How much would it cost to get in "great" condition - I'll tell you that I spent $45K on my 1972 Eldorado, and $100K on the DeVille. So I'm the wrong person to ask.
That said, the AC works, the antenna works - but needs some lube and care, the top needs replacing at some point, and I think that's it. Replace the wiper blades.
This car has a rebuilt engine, so I think we got most of the heavy stuff done. We did not touch the trans - so it's still original.

Because of it's age - I would replace every piece of rubber hose for coolant, heating, and A/C, and seals like at the differential, etc. Flush the brakes.
So ... instead of driving it, I'd put it on a trailer or a truck to get it home, drive it locally without issue, and slowly fix the above.
