You are looking at a No Reserve auction on a beautiful, low-mileage, rust-free 1960 Cadillac Fleetwood pillarless hardtop. The rear-gills on the quarter-panels & stainless lower trim along the rocker-panels make for a really classy look not found on the vast-majority of models produced in 1960. There were 142,184 Cadillacs built that year (most were DeVilles & entry-model Series 62). Only 11,800 of them were Fleetwoods, so this is a fairly rare, top-of-the-line model! The car is loaded with factory options including air-conditioning, cruise-control, power windows, power wing-vent windows, power seat, electric trunk popper inside the glove-box, power-closing trunk (you don’t slam it… it just draws itself down smoothly & gently), automatically dimming high-beam headlights with the “Guide-Matic autronic-eye” (that still works), and more! The odometer shows only 53,000 miles, and judging from the lack of wear on the brake-pedal, and exceptionally nice condition of the car, I believe those to be original miles (not 153, or 253,000).

The factory 325 horsepower 390 cubic inch V8 runs superbly, and doesn’t tick, knock, exhibit any blowby or smoke whatsoever. Sounds beautiful with correct dual-exhaust. The “Jetaway” transmission shifts through all 4-speeds just like it should, and operates smoothly. The power brakes stop this 5,100 pound car impressively quickly, with huge finned-drums all the way around. The wide-whitewall tires are in great condition with probably 75% of their tread remaining. All of the glass is good with no cracks or chips. The interior of the car is in beautiful condition including the original headliner which is not tattered or stained. The original dash is un-cracked and still nice as well. This car came from Georgia, and has never seen road-salt. It is really a nice combination of a restoration and a true survivor. It has had one re-paint, but still has its original vinyl topin incredibly good shape for being 57 years old! The car was in a climate-controlled museum for a long time.

At the estate-sale where I purchased the car, the previous owner provided me with a THICK stack of receipts totaling $29,836.05 which included the $18,900 purchase price. He put just shy of $11,000 worth of work into this car since 2010. The list of work is too just extensive to list every detail, but some of the key items include the following: New Kanter suspension rebuild-kit with bushings, tie-rod ends installed, then front end alignment performed. New fuel-pump. New gas-tank & sending-unit. New fuel supply-line hose & return-line hose. New brakes & shoes. 4 new shock-absorbers. Dual exhaust replaced with correct mufflers AND resonators. Transmission oil-seals replaced. New transmission cooler lines. New drive-shaft hanger support-bearing. New valve-cover gaskets on engine. Remanufactured 1959 Cadillac distributor installed. Fluids & filters replaced. Generator rebuilt. New battery, terminals & cables. Rebuilt starter. Fuel-gauge rebuilt. Headlight switch rebuilt. Rebuilt wiper motor. Ignition tumbler replaced with new ignition-switch. Installed seat-belts front & rear. New upholstery on the seats & new carpet installed. The original paper & cardboard trunk-liners are still in amazing condition and in place. Interior doorpanels are in nice condition, and not-cracked. The power windows all roll up and down as they should, as do the power wing-vent windows, but the power-seat appears to be disconnected, as it’s not operating. The AM radio, A/C & cruise are also not currently working, but are all complete & intact, with no components missing. Those are the only non-functioning features on the whole car. You could literally hop in and drive it anywhere on a moment's notice. We’ve driven the car on long road-trips without issue. There are so many new & rebuilt parts recently installed, making it very dependable & road-worthy. I’ve currently got it titled, registered, insured and have been driving it daily.

I welcome anyone to arrange an inspection (I’d be happy to take it to any mechanic in town, but Charlie’s Auto here in Mason City is the local mechanic who performed the vast-majority of the work on it since 2010, so they are familiar with the car top-to-bottom). I welcome any licensed-driver to come take it for a test-drive. If you’ve read my description, there shouldn’t be reason for any surprises or disappointment. This is not a 100-point concourse show-car, but an extremely nice car inside & out. The paint finish shines nicely, and it shows very well. I definitelyplan to enterit into some upcoming classic car-shows if the car doesn't sell before I get the chance.

By bidding on, or otherwise agreeing to purchase this vehicle, you acknowledge that it is being sold As Is with no warranty. I require a $500 security-deposit within 24 hours of auction’s end. If coming to pick the car up in person, I ask for payment in cash, otherwise if having it shipped with an auto-transporter a cashier’s check or bank wire-transfer is acceptable. I can provide the buyer copies of the front & back sides of the clear title in my name prior to any payment being made. Security deposits are considered non-refundable. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation. I can be reached afternoons & evenings at: (641) 512-5229. I have a list of auto-transport contacts that I can provide if not coming to pick this vehicle up in person.

Again... I have many more photos of this car, so if you have any trouble viewing the link at the top of this page, please message me, and I'll send it to you directly. Thanks for looking!
