Car description

For sale is a bagged 1968 Cadillac Coupe Deville. It has the original 472 big block with only 28k miles. I am the third owner. I purchased the vehicle from my grandfather who bought it from the original owner. I have the owners manual/ service manual with the Protect-O-Plate showing the original owners information. I also have service receipts from where my grandfather had work done. The motor is in good condition. The carb could use a rebuild (cold start). I recently drove it on a 4 hour trip (highway and back roads) with no issues. Cruise control works great! It runs. drives. shifts well. When first purchased I replaced the oil pan gasket. valve cover gaskets. and rear main seal. I also replaced spark plugs. plug wires. battery. and alternator. The distributor was new when I got it. Brakes are in good condition and were replaced just before I purchased it. The exhaust is stainless and was installed in the 90s by my grandfather. The tires are new with a lot of life left on them. The interior is in great condition with only a few blemishes. The drivers seat has a small tear in the fabric. and the rear passenger armrests (foam top) has cracked. The fabric is a "paisley" pattern with leather inserts (this was an upgrade option). All interior lights work. The headliner is perfect! Power windows. power locks. and power seat all work. I found electrical tape on the weather stripping and removed most of it with no leaks. Telescopic/tilt steering wheel. The antenna/ OG radio work. AC/ Heat work. but not perfect (system works when it wants too). The weather stripping needs to be replaced. The paint is original according to my grandfather. but I believe it was resprayed in some areas. Overall the paint is in good shape. It has chips and blemishes in some areas. The clear coat on the hood/trunk is gone. but paint still looks good. The top is in good condition with a small area of rust under the rear window (common). There is also some rust showing in the right front quarter panel. This was a daily driver for me! The chrome is in good condition with some dings/blemishes in the front bumper. All trim/badges are on the vehicle. The suspension was replaced with bags front and back. All of the work was done by the guys at Vini's Hot rods here in AL. The rear shocks are still on the vehicle and front shocks could be added. Vini's Hot rods did a good job. and the car rides great. You can cruise around at ride height. or crush cans if needed!! The switches are tastefully placed in the dash. and the dual gauge is tucked away on the drivers side of the car. I didn't want to take away from the interior! Two VAIR compressors and a 5 gallon air tank are mounted very nicely in the trunk. This car gets a lot of attention anytime I drive it or take to a show! It's not a "show car" but a great daily driver!! I have really enjoyed the car. but time to move on! I'm sure I've left something out so feel free to message me with any questions. **The buyer is responsible for shipping/pickup. There is no title. but the vehicle is registered in AL with a 1968 plate! $500. 00 deposit due at close of auction. This vehicle is sold as is with no warranties and no returns. **No longer shipping worldwide**
