Car description

Up for auction is a 1955 Cadillac Convertible Series 62. If you'er looking for a project car to actually finish this winter, hen this could be for you! All the hard work has been done! The body is straight and in excellent condition with no rust or dents anywhere. The floors and trunk area are solid. The car was professionally painted (3 coats of acrylic single stage) andis ready for buffing. Almost all of the chrome has been rechromed, but it is for the most part not show chrome. The outside door handles need to be rechromed. The inside rear view mirror needs replating and new glass. There is no side view mirror. The very expensive gold plating for the emblems have been done, xcept for one emblem which is in very good condition. The interior has not been sat in!!..except for the driver's seat and was also professionally done to replicate the original pattern exactly. Hand crafted and sewn in beautiful red and white leather. Side panels, isors and dash pad also new. Brand new canvas top (it works perfectly), oot, oot canvas bag and plastic window. All the weatherstrips for the top, oors and windows replaced or some brand new pieces ready to install. New glass all around, xcept for the windshield, hich is in very good condition. The engine and transmission were rebuilt and have about 4 miles on them! The engine purrs like a kitten. Exhaust and brakes redone. All the power windows and seats work perfectly. The radio is there, ut needs a rebuild. Skirts have yet to be painted, ut there is plenty of paint left over and goes with the car. What's left?! Some of the electrical harnesses may need to be replaced?..or at least trouble shooted, s the headlights, ail lights, rake lights, nd some of the dash lights are not working yet. The dash has been pulled back to reveal the electrical circuits and harnesses. This is where the restoration has stopped..it's my friend's car and his eyesight is poor now and he has decided to sell the car. Lots of extra parts will go with the car. The current owner has a clear title. With 49,000 original miles, his car has a lot more road ahead of it and is 99% complete. Low reserve too! Questions call Paul 978-578-4199.
