Car description

I am selling a few more rare rides I had planned to restore but the purchase of a new building has me selling them off. HI. well here it is. a SUPER RARE GS ragtop STICK with AIR! Yes. this is one of the super rare GS ragtops with the 4 speed! 1 of only 51 ever built a real time capsule! You can see just in GS ragtop production numbers alone. that this is a valuable and rare Skylark GS. with totals of only 656! That's it! Now ad the 4speed and now you're in the top collector car market with very few examples ever built. 51 to be exact. and finally. how many of the 51 came with AIR with a ragtop? Probably puts this car in the 1 of 10-15? Also. real cool colors you don't normally see on a GS. Sandpiper Beige with Saddle notchback bench and Tan top. I have verified and taken pics of all the pertinent numbers documenting the car. Engine has orig. vin stamped block(currently frozen). ode 71 heads orig. intake and rare 4 speed only distributor. M21 Tranny is the orig. vin stamped casting with nice #’s and date codes deeply stamped. Also some odd things about stamp locations. which were up to each plant to determine where and how to stamp them. Rear is the original 3:08 posi which was the highest you could get with AC. I have title in hand from the second owner and its still dated from his purchase in 1977. the car was only 6 years old! also comes with a mileage book kept by the second owner showing all the upkeep. oil changes. tires. maintenance etc. When do you see that anymore? This is as close as you can get to a time capsule car. Never been restored. the tan top is the orig. color and was replaced some years ago as the car was sitting to be redone body-wise. The top frame is mint and the factory inspection sticker is still in place. look at pic. The top looks super clean. no rips or tears and should be ready to go. The doors and jambs are also rear nice and solid. the body will need restoring. This car was never owned by a kid. no monkey stuff ever done to it. At this writing the car was sitting long years. doesn't currently run. but did when it was stored. This GS still has the factory HURST shifter with the shift pattern inside the H logo. a sure sign its all there! The car also comes with factory front disc power brakes. clock dash. the set of Buick mags are included but the original steel wheels and excellent condition spoke wheel covers come with it as well. All business. with no console. just the rubber boot on the floor. which is still in place. although the boot has seen better days. I have most every piece you don's see in the pics. including the red ribbed stripe chrome rocker moldings. air parts etc! TRIM TAG DATE= 03C 03=MARCH C=THIRD WEEK OF MARCH 71 GS VIN# 434671H162409 ENGINE VIN PAD 41H162409 ENGINE CODE TB HEADS “71” Distributor ID # 1112006 = (1971 350 2-V. -V (MT) 1112006) Intake Manifold Cast # 1236839 Also have the original factory Carb for only stick cars! TRANS = P1C04B P=Muncie 1=(1971) C=March 04=4th day of march B=Muncie M21 Close Ratio Rear End = Code “LSB” on pass side axle tube front 4” from pumpkin. below centerline 71-72 Ratio----Open----Posi 2. 56---- LKB---- LTB 2. 73---- LLB---- LOB 3. 08---- LAB---- LSB 3. 42---- LHB---- LWB EXTERIOR: 61 Paint Code – Sandpiper Beige : Top code letter "E" tan top! INTERIOR: Trim tag calls out 156 Saddle Notch-back bench As stated. needs restoration. small holes in floor pans. trunk pan needs replace. rear quarters. front fenders. etc. I did find an original pass side front fender which goes with it. both doors are excellent and solid bottom door edges front to back! Door jams in nice shape as well. The car frame is in rough shape. has rot. but these frames and sheet metal are easy to locate and very reasonably priced especially for a car this valuable! Did I mention this is an Air conditioned GS ragtop stick??!!! Its complete. I have a GS rear wing for the trunklid. and a COMPLETE YEAR ONE RAM AIR air cleaner and ram air tubes that come from the chin spoiler underneath! All brand new and ready to mount to the car after paint! Super cool looking performance parts that function and complete a killer rag top package with excellent factory paperwork! NO RESERVE! THANX FOR LOOKING!
