A SOLID UNRESTORED CAR SHOWING MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS ALONG WITH A FEW UPGRADES TO KEEP IT RUNNING AS THINGS WORE OUT. THE PAINT HAS BEEN REDONE ONCE. FROM WHITE/BLUE TO ALL COLONIAL BLUE. IT APPEARS TO BE AN OLDER MID LEVEL REPAINT WITH LOTS OF SHINE BUT THE TRIM WAS MASKED OFF AND NOT REMOVED. SOME WHITE PEEKING THROUGH ALONG SEVERAL PIECES OF THE TRIM. MOSTLY ON THE ROOF. THE INTERIOR LOOKS TO HAVE BEEN REDONE AT SOME TIME IN IT'S LIFE BUT IS IN GREAT CONDITION WITHOUT DEFECTS AND THE FABRIC IS STILL SOFT TO TOUCH. THE UPGRADES INCLUDE A DUEL BRAKING SYSTEM WITH DISCS ON THE FRONT. A NEWER BUICK ENGINE. 455 CU. IN. THAT WORKS WONDERFUL. IT IS HOOKED TO A TURBO 400 TRANSMISSION AND AN OPEN DRIVE SHAFT GM REAR HAS BEEN INSTALLED. THE REAR END APPEARS PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED. NOTHING HOME MADE. THE RATIO IS IDEAL GIVING DECENT FUEL MILEAGE BUT THE SPEEDOMETER IS NOT CORRECT. 60 IS REALLY 80+ M. P. H. A MORE MODERN POWER STEERING PUMP HAS REPLACED THE ORIGINAL. AT THE TIME OF MY PURCHASE THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION WERE REPORTED TO BE FRESHLY REBUILT AND LOOK TO BE NEWLY INSTALLED ALONG WITH THE REAR. THERE IS NO ENGINE SMOKE. NOISE OR BLOW BY. THE TRANSMISSION WORKS FLAWLESSLY. DRIVING THE CAR IS THE BEST PART. RUNS STRAIGHT. BRAKES EVEN. HANDLING IS TIGHT AND RESPONSIVE. AN ADDED REAR SWAY BAR KEEPS IT LEVEL. IT WAS BORN IN SOUTHGATE CA. ASSEMBLY PLANT AND PURCHASED FROM CA. IN JULY 2012. THERE IS NO EVEDANCE OF ACCIDENTS OR PANELS/PARTS PUT ON FROM ANOTHER CAR. THE FLOORS AND UNDERCARRIAGE ARE ORIGINAL AND SOLID ALONG WITH THE SPARE TIRE STORAGE AREA. THERE ARE 3 SMALL. DIME SIZE OR SMALLER. AREAS ON THE CAR THAT APPEAR TO BE FIRST TIME RUST STARTING; BOTTOM FRONT CORNER OF THE RIGHT FRONT DOOR. BOTTOM REAR CORNER OF THE RIGHT REAR DOOR AND TO THE RIGHT OF THE TAILGATE LOWER EDGE. AN OLDER SMALL REPAIR TO THE LOWER FRONT CORNER OF THE LEFT REAR DOOR NOW HAS A SMALL HAIRLINE CRACK. THESE WERE ON THE CAR WHEN I PURCHASED IT AND HAVE NOT CHANGED IN SIZE. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO TAKE A PHOTO THAT SHOWS THEM. THE DOORS. HOOD. TAILGATE TOP AND BOTTOM OPEN. CLOSE AND LATCH PROPERLY. NO LOOSE OR WORN HINGES. BRIGHT TRIM; ORIGINAL CHROME AND TRIM IS ALL THERE. NONE ARE LOOSE FITTING. THERE IS SOME DEEP SCUFFING TO SEVERAL PIECES ON THE LEFT REAR SIDE. SEE PHOTOS. THE PIECE ON THE LOWER RIGHT REAR DOOR IS ALSO SCUFFED. BOTH HEADLIGHT EYEBROWS HAVE THE VIBRATION CRACKS. I DON'T FEEL THAT THE TRIM HAS EVER BEEN REMOVED FROM THIS CAR. INTERIOR TRIM IS FAIR TO GOOD. GLASS IS ORIGINAL WITH NORMAL WARE WITH SOME BUBBLING AROUND THE EDGES OF DOOR GLASS. ALL WINDOWS OPEN AND CLOSE. SPEEDOMETER. FUEL GAUGE. OIL PRESSURE GAUGE. ADDED TEMP GAUGE. ADDED TACH. HORN. HEAD LIGHTS. TURN SIGNALS. BRAKE. BACKUP AND LICENSE PLATE LIGHTS ALL WORK. IT STILL HAS ORIGINAL VACUUM WIPERS. THE EMERGENCY BRAKE NEEDS A REPLACEMENT ORIGINAL FRAME BRACKET TO OPERATE. TIRES ARE VERY NICE P235/70R15 ON CRAGER RIMS. NO WEATHERING. LOTS OF TREAD AND RIDE AS SMOOTH AS GLASS. THIS IS A NICE DRIVER QUALITY CAR THAT HAS THE FOUNDATION FOR FURTHER UPGRADES OR CONTINUE TO USE IT AS IT IS. THE DUEL EXHAUST IS NOT LOUD BUT HAS A LIGHT RUMBLE AT IDLE.
