Car description

57 Buick Estate Wagon

1957 was a great year for General Motors, many new innovations and notable styling was introduced into the American automobile scene. If you wanted a luxury station wagon and had $3,100 to spend, this was what you would buy. ’57 Estate Wagons count for less than 2% of Buick's production that year, making this car a very rare wagon.

The odometer is reading 5,118 miles, we have no way to document this, but its most likely 105,118 miles. It has been maintained over the years including a nice repaint several years back, in its original colors, Dusk Rose with a Dover White roof. The bright-work is nice. Most of the stainless trim is original and good. The bumpers and pot metal pieces have been re chromed and look great.

The interior is the correct materials and could very well be the original interior with some lite restoration work. The dash is all original and is beautiful along with the steering wheel and chrome trim. All the glass appears original and does have some very small scratches but is not cracked or broken, overall its nice.

Under the hood is the original 364 “Fire Ball” V-8 that is mated to the original automatic transmission. It has been cleaned up but could use more detailing to be show worthy. The engine has been well maintained and is very drive-able. The factory power steering and power brakes work great and makes it much easier to maneuver This wagon has its original 15” steel wheels and factory hubcaps with newer wide whitewall 235/75 R 15 radial tires.

This wagon is 62 years old and has survived the test of time. Being only 1 of 1,701 produced I would guess very few are in existence today. This car is ready to enjoy and I would consider it a high quality driver.
