1940 Buick Special Dual Side Mounts Suicide Doors

1940 Buick Special     This Buick underwent a frame off restoration that was completed in 1999.   It has been driven 10. 91 miles since.   It has only been driven to shows and on weekends. never in the rain or bad weather. and has been stored inside and covered.       This restoration cost over 50k when it was completed sixteen years ago.  I have all receipts from the restoration.  It is also a very rare car having factory dual side-mounts.   It is and always has been a completely rust free example.   It has no body fillers or patches and all of the original panels are straight and well fit.   The undercarriage still retains all the original floorboards and body mounts.       The body was stripped to bare metal and re-sprayed its original black color using a two-step base clear.   The undercarriage and engine compartment were completely detailed.   The interior was completely redone using all correct materials ordered from the Buick Club of America and SMS Auto Fabrics.   All of the chrome was re-plated and all of the stainless was re-polished.   All rubber. weather stripping. and glass were replaced.       All mechanicals were completely rebuilt or replaced including a complete new correct wiring harness.   Under the hood is the original 248ci straight-eight engine.   It was completely rebuilt and runs perfect.   It is mated to the original three-speed manual transmission which was also completely rebuilt and shifts through all the gears flawlessly.       This car is a very. very nice. well-preserved. older restoration.   Everything works properly.       This car has a clear Florida title and a custom made indoor car cover.       The above referenced automobile is being sold as is with no warranties.   The above description is subjective. for our own identification purposes only. and should not be relied upon for correctness.   As with all used automobiles. we highly encourage inspections in person or via a third party prior to bidding.   All sales are final.   For more information please call 954-422-2895
