1983 BMW 320 IS E21 Sport Package California, 2-Owner Car

Beautiful BMW 320i S Package E21 for sale. Only 2,500 examples of the US-only 320is were produced from 1980-83. Excellent, California car with just two owners, one of which has actually owned the car twice. Equipped with a fuel-injected 1.8L M10 inline-four paired to a 5-speed Getrag gearbox, the ā€œSā€ package added Recaro sport seats, manual sunroof, leather steering wheel and shift knob, fog lights, upgraded suspension with front sway bar, upgraded rear sway bars, limited-slip differential, cross-spoke alloy wheels, a front air dam, and upgraded tool kit. Includes books and a clean Carfax report. Both of it's owners are old friends so it's nice to know where this car has been. Current owner has had the car in his collection for nearly a decade.

Great looking car, especially after 35 years. Always garaged and still wearing it's original Schwarz black paint with a nice shine. We're told the car is accident-free and it appears to be the case. The undercarriage is damage-free and there is no rust anywhere.

The interior is in good, original condition as well. Nice headliner, seating, carpet and door panels. A little wear as to be expected on the drivers' side left, lower bolster and a couple of very small cracks in the dash. Otherwise looking very presentable and quite comfortable.

The fuel-injected M10 SOHC inline-four was rated at 99 horsepower when new and sends power to a limited slip differential. The car starts; runs and drives smoothly with plenty of power and burns clean. The engine was replaced around 37k miles ago and the car just had a $1,200 service performed so it's road-ready. The clutch feels excellent along with the brakes and suspension. Tires have been replaced.

This is a great, collectible BMW 320iS, the last year of the E21 with the rare Sports Package. Call Donn at 844-533-8262.

This listing will end the moment a reasonable offer is made.

Regardless of our commitment to describe vehicles in as much detail as possible there will be imperfections. Us failing to mention for example an item such as a paint imperfection, an inoperable switch etc, does not constitute refusal of a car by the buyer. Vehicles are complex machines with thousands of parts. Classic & special interest vehicles are broad in their differences and uniqueness. Even though we attempt to be as clear and concise in our descriptions as possible, some of these are cars that we buy and consign. They are not our own personal cars and we do not always know what to specifically look for. It may have issues that are inherent to a vehicle of its type and/or age. In short, we encourage you to ask questions. We also encourage inspections to avoid any misunderstandings. This vehicle is being sold "as-is", with no warranty, expressed or implied. Again, the winning bidder is committed to following through on the transaction. First Time Classic Car Buyers, Welcome to the classic car hobby! But please consider that these old cars, even when in great operational order are nothing like your modern car! Please do not expect even a restored several decades old car to perform with the same preciseness or reliability as a late model car. If you're new to the hobby please feel free to contact me. I have driven classic cars continuously for over 30 years and am happy to share the joys as well as the realities involved in owning these special old cars.
