Car description

1990 BMW E30 316i Touring for sale recently imported to United States. The car is US titled and ready to be registered. Equiped with an Euro M40 engine with around 175,000 Km (aprox. 109,000 miles). The car arrived in Jacksonville a bit more than a month ago and I drove it to Atlanta. I got the car site unseen, based on what I've been told by the owner and then, by a friend of mine that got the car and worked on the body. My intention was to keep it, but plans changed and I have to let it go. So, these are the facts about the car as far as I know: it is freshly painted in the original silver color after replacing front fenders, rear hatch door (known for beeing rusted, the one on the car was no exception) and work was done on the rocker panels. As it can be seen in the pictures, there is still some rust under the hood but not bad. Driving the car from Jacksonville to Atlanta, I've started to have an idea about what's good and not so good about the car. First brakes, which were 90% gone, but now there are brand new brake pads and rotors installed in all four corners. Suspension feels OK, having coilovers (pictured), but I do not know what brand (my guess is that they are K&W). Since I got the car I drove it about 600 miles after a fresh oil change. Not overheating at all after getting stucked in the afternoon Atlanta traffic. Gear box and clutch are very good, not smoking at all and no leaks as I could tell. Inside the car is very nice and clean with a brand new headliner (not sagging like most of them). Almost perfect seats and has the dash with no cracks. On the dash, temperature gauge works perfectly, speedo also perfect, but the fuel gauge is a little bit lazy (I think is the sending unit, car wasn't driven for a long time). Lately tacho stopped working. It was on and off and then it stopped all together (probably gears are going bad). From factory the car does not have A/C and power steering. Also, sometime in the past somebody replaced the exhaust system together with the muffler with an aftermarket one. Overall the car looks very nice, there is not a single dent on any of the panels, including the roof and the sunroof is not leaking. For beeing enjoyed as it is right now the control arms bushings and joints need to be replaced. Also, after replacing the headliner the wires were not connected for the inside lights, rear washer and wiper. Please bid only if you have the funds to pay right away. Payment has to be Cash, Cashiers Check or Wire Transfer. A 500 dollars Paypal deposit required within three days after auction ends. Buyer is responsible for shipping the vehicle.
