Car description

Hello and up for auction is my 1989 BMW 325I convt. My wife was driving the car the other day and it died on the road. After having the vehicle towed back to my house, I made a quick check by removing the distributor cap and confirmed that the timing belt has broken. I am told that, this engine is an "interference" engine and that it is possible valve damage may have occurred. I believe it is time to move on and purchase another vehicle for her. The good news; tires are newer, the rims were sandblasted and powder coated last year, new radiator and water pump were installed in last 6 months, a new A/C compressor and climate control and cables were installed, the conv. top is in very good shape and the rear window is clear and clean, battery exhaust and transmission are in very good shape, has Kenwood am/fm 6 disc cd player, no tears orholes in leather seats, new front struts installed in last 6 months, hood and conv. cover pistons replaced. The brakes are roughly 1/2 life left.I have the Title in hand.

Bad news; like I stated above, the timing belt is broken. so it is possible for an easy to moderate repair for someone who is familiar with these vehicles. The lower rocker panels are showing some signs of rust which I will include in the pictures. The Odometer and speedometer is broken and shows excess of 200k,which also renders portions of the trip computer inoperable. There is a crack in the pass headlamp. We have always enjoyed dropping the top and driving this vehicle and I believe that some one with some motivation and skill could bring it back to life and enjoy this awesome looking vehicle.

I will try and include as many pictures as I can and will answer any questions. Please feel free to inspect vehicle prior to purchase and contact me. I am making this a true auction and will go to the highest bidder. The vehicle is located in Milford, Ct. and will need to be transported or towed. I reserve the right to end auction early because it is listed locally also. Thanks for looking and good luck!!
