Car description

This car drives and stops straight. Good Oil Pressure. It starts right up and is ready to drive. In my opinion. It is a gnarly little beastie for its age and model. The Datsun 5 speed Synchro Overdrive transmission is a great improvement to the original transmission and shifts smoothly. This is an older restoration that I’ve used as a pleasure driver. 3500 miles since 2003 Older Restoration:The previous owner had restored it and set it up as an autocross car. therefore it has lots of performance upgrades: New Sills and Floors. Wiring Harness. Header. Racing Cam. Braded Steel Brake Hoses. Rear Tube Shocks. Front Sway Bar. Electric Fuel Pump. Wiring Harness. Negative Ground Conversion. Since then: New Gas Tank. New Front Calipers. Rivergate / Datsun 5 Speed Transmission. Water Pump. Master Cylinder Rebuild. The door gaps and sill gaps seem to be good. This car still has the old school points and condenser in the distributor. The Datsun 5 speed Synchro Overdrive transmission is a great improvement to the original transmission and shifts smoothly. (You may want to do a slight clutch adjustment)On the open road. or in a parking lot course this car is a total gas! It handles like a go-cart!The paint is fair and could use a re-spray. There are lots of little dings that have been touched up. There is some bondo in the rear quarters. Right door will not lock. Four tires match and have lots of tread but are over 10 years old. The racing cam makes it idle roughly and requires better than average clutch and throttle skills to drive in traffic. There are some rubber trim parts are missing. Fender mirrors are correct but are one hole models leaving open holes from the two hole mirrors. (See Photo)The tachometer doesn’t work. The top has some pinholes (patchable) and one small gash in the left rear light (see photo) It is not a show car. It is a 51 year old BRITISH car. as such it has its faults and idiosyncrasies. I may have unintentionally left some details unlisted here. therefore contact me with questions before you bid. No warranty or returns. I'll cooperate with the buyer on shipping but it is up to you to make the arrangements. If you wish you may pick it up in Columbus. Ohio.
