Car description

1967 Austin Healey 3000 Mk III Phase II (BJ8). Matching numbers. Heritage Certificate
This is a running, driving, project car. For repair or restoration.
Barn find from Connecticut. Owned from the mid 70's by an older gent. Last driven on the road in the late '80's/early 90's.
Various old registrations/titles, plus a folder of receipts included.

LOW RESERVE
Car number, body number, and engine number match the Heritage certificate. Car was originally finished in Healey Blue with a blue interior.
Car runs and yard drives - handbrake only.Car starts immediately and idles well with good oil pressure and no smoke.
Gearbox works in all gears. I haven’t checked synchros or overdrive as I can’t drive it on the street.Overdrive solenoid does click when selecting 3rd and 4th.All gauges work, all electrics work (starter, generator, regulator, heater fan, lights, turn signals, horn, wipers, etc).New clutch master & slave cylinders + flex line.
No radio, tools or jack.
This car has all the desirable features of the last of the line Big Healey’s:
  • 150HP motor (with the big cam, and a pair of 2” HD8 carburetors),
  • Four speed center change overdrive gearbox,
  • Rear suspension has radius arms instead of the earlier Panhard rod
  • Chassis has the under diff dip.
  • Convertibletop, wind up windows with quarter lights, and the later style, more finished interior with a wood dash and glove box.
  • Separateturn signal lights, front and rear.
  • 60 spoke wire wheels with two eared knock offs + a 60 spoke spare.

The car has rust in some of the exterior panels and in areas of the frame. Doors are very good. shrouds are very good. Floors are good. Left rear fender is creased - an extra (repairable) fender is included.
