Car description

Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we celebrate our 21st year in the classic and muscle car business. Here's a rare treasure from the Texas Hill Country's premier source for hard-to-find classics. This ONE OWNER Big Bad Blue (2A) 1970 AMC AMX is one of only 4,116 1970 AMX's produced; one of 114 (!) in BBB; and one of a mere handful with BBB paint and the ultra-desirable Shadow Mask (-8) paint treatment. Wow. Originally a 360 Go Pack car, this rare beast now sports a balanced .030 over 401 that was built by noted AMC racer and builder Brian Schneider. This extremely potent yet reliable mill features ported and polished heads (270 cfm @ .500, intake), a forged steel crank, H-beam rods, forged aluminum 10.5:1 pistons, Comp Cams mechanical roller cam with SS roller rockers and stud girdle, the legendary Edelbrock R4B aluminum intake with AMC P/N, a Holley 770 carburetor (fed by the factory Ram Air system), 8 quart oil pan, an Edelbrock HD aluminum water pump, and an aluminum 4 row radiator with a custom shroud. The copious power (525-550 hp) is sent to a built 700R4 automatic transmission with manual lock up, then back to the Twin Grip rear end with Moser axles and 3.15 gears. Chassis upgrades include front and rear coilover conversion systems by Control Freak Suspensions and 4-wheel cross-drilled and slotted disc brakes from Aerospace Components. Additional goodies include power steering, power brakes, air conditioning (now 134a), custom stainless engine turned dash, new leather Recaro seats, 17" custom 2 piece Magnum-style wheels, restored Rim Blow steering wheel, a Sony AM/FM/MP3 sound system, cruise control, and insulation/sound deadener from firewall to trunk. From top to bottom, this is a magnificent machine. If you're in the market for what may be the finest, fastest, most desirable AMC extant, look no further.
