Car description

Up for sale is my 1975 AMC Pacer.

This is an ALL ORIGINAL. 39,000 mile, ONE OWNER CAR.

I have the original window sticker, owners manual, and all of its maintenance recoreds. Vehicle was brought down from New York State, the winery salt roads were harsh on the body, but the minimal use kept the interior PRISTINE. In regard to condition, I would personally rate the body at a 5 out of 10 due to rust and paint fading, and the interior at a 9 out of 10. The vehicle is currently RUNNING. The engine turns over freely and will fire up on starting fluid. My guess is it needs a carburetor cleaning. Other than that the car appears to be in DRIVABLE condition and was up until two years ago when it was parked.

As previously stated, the interior is impeccable, it has many rare options like the hybrid leather seats, sports steering wheel, and FACTORY A/C! There are two soft spots in the plastic on the rear seat arm rests near the rear windows, and the interior could be vacuumed, but other than that, it is near perfect. The body has rust in the normal spots, (quarter panels, front of the hood, around the rear window, and around the gas cap) but unfortunately due to the car's naturally thin metal and the harsh northern winters, the rust in these aforementioned spots is exaggerated. It doesn't leak, but there is a long skinny crack on the front windshield. Otherwise, everything on the body works as it should and none of the spots appear to compromise the vehicle's structural integrity in any way. There is however a tennis ball sized rust spot in the same place on both the driver and the passenger side floor boards, where from underneath the car you can poke through to the underside of the carpet. If small patches were performed on these two spots, (or not) this car would have no trouble being a daily driver and nothing would stop it from being completely road worthy once it's running. Perfectionists could fix the body, or enthusiasts could enjoy it and drive it how it is. For me, the experience of the famous Pacer was the same regardless! I had purchased this vehicle from the original owner a few years back, but with limited time and mechanical knowledge, I can't stand to See it not being used. Anyways, I'm looking for it to go to the right home where someone will get it out on the road and enjoy it. Feel free to reach out to me with any further questions.
