Car description

I'm helping my friend Davelist and sell this car. The write up below is all from him.We are listing this car with "Buy It Now or Best Offer". There is a certain price level foroffers to be considered, ll others will be automatically rejected. I've been around this car myself the past 3 years. I've driven this car. I have to say it is Extremely Cool, urns lots of heads, emands attention, uns and drives really nice, as tons of power, nd seems to be very dependable. You could drive this car to any destination, oes not need to be trailered. The owner drives this Javelin almost daily. He's always at the local car shows around Austin with a crowd of fans. These cars are really unique, nd represent American Auto History very well. Anyone can own Corvettes, TO's, ustangs, hargers, tc, ut nice Javelin's like this one are just rare. That's why there's only a handful for sale here on E Bay. Muscle Cars are the best investments in the market these days. Simply because they are not made anymore, hey are in demand, nd they don't lose their value.

Up for sale is a 1969 javelin was originally a 290 2bbl car but has a 71 360 bored 0.030 over with the 319-6291 390/401 50cc heads and a early 360 crank so still can use the early M-11 & M-12 trans. This car has the M12 borg in it. Both cylinder heads had a valve job about a year ago, oth heads were magnafluxed and milled for straightness. The intake was cut for straightness and proper fit also. Its running a RV cam, nd also dual 390cfm carbs with a Mr Gasket scoop. It is still running the single point distributor, ith vacuum advance. works very well! The rear end is a 3:54 posi. The drive shaft, as rebalanced in 1996, s a driveshaft company sticker is on it! The power steering pump was replaced, ith a rebuilt sagina type, fter the original blew input shaft seal. The new radiator is a year old. It has eagle headers with twin turbo mufflers ( which give it a nice rumble and not agressively loud), hich turns down just before the rear axle. The upper radiator cross support is tweeked but not really noticable to most. It does have an electric fuel pump, Holley Blue type. It was put on after someone tried to break into the car, nd messed up the driver side lock tumbler. The pump is hooked to a toggle switch, o unless they know where the switch is, hey're not stealing it so easily. The carbs do not have chokes on them, nd so is limited to the amount of fuel in the bowls. The mechanical pump can be put back on with little effort. There is an electric fan on the front of the radiator, hich is also hooked up to a toggle switch. The main fan cools well, ut in stop and go traffic, etter safe than sorry. The fan shroud was taken off 5 years ago, t has a heavy duty cooling fan 3197749# 69.

The original color of the car, ccording to the body tag, as "Alamosa aqua". The car was painted red/white/blue back in 1996 and does have minor dents along the body and paint chips (one noticable in the front of the hood- was there when I aquired the car) but that never stopped attracting a crowd at car shows and car gatherings. Its been in newspapers a few times, ts received a few car show awards. The front and rear bumper, long with the rear valance, re fiberglass. I have not touched the body the whole time i've had it, o it is in the same condition as when I got it. The rims are Cragar SS's, ith 14x6 in front, nd 14x8 in rear. It's equipped with power drum brakes. The window tint was put on back in 89, nd is peeling some. Only reason it wasn't removed, s you can't get it that dark anymore. The door windows could use some adjusting. They go up and down fine, ust some side movement.

The entire dash was out of a 68 car that had a/c, nly thing left of the a/c is the panel controls and the evaperator in the dash. it does have the 140mph with tac but the tac doesn't work and the clock hasen"t worked, and glass is cracked. The headliner, as redone at one time and does sag, ypical with california and texas heat. The seats are in good shape the driver one was redone before I got the car. The rear seat is in good shape but does have cracks in the top vinyl. Shifter is column, ith tilt. Has after market gauges under the glove box door. The speaker panel has a small crack just below the speaker grate, ut for its age its in decent shape! The dash itself is in great shape! Its got a am/fm/cassette player. Still got the origional keys for the car.

The car was from california where it spent most of its life. I got the car 8 years ago and been in centeral TX. The car was driven to West Texas for the amo amc regoinals in 2010 and 2012 but they havn't had one there since which was about a 330 mile round trip.

I also have a folder that the previous owner had to keep most recipts. Tons done!!
